RV 3D is an Adelaide-based business that designs and 3D prints custom replacement parts and accessories for caravans, motorhomes and RVs. All parts are printed in engineering-grade PETG and shipped Australia-wide.
This page covers what types of parts can be made, what material is used, how the ordering process works, and what happens when a part is broken or discontinued.
Almost any small to medium plastic component can be designed and printed. Common requests include door latch extenders, window locks, aircon deflectors, awning leg clamps, cassette toilet components, storage brackets, cab drawer inserts, gas bottle knob assists, and diesel heater covers.
Parts that are broken, cracked, or no longer available from the manufacturer can also be reproduced from the original — even from fragments. RV 3D's Scan & Reproduce service accepts physical parts, recovers the geometry through 3D scanning and CAD, reinforces known stress points, and produces a replacement in stronger PETG.
Maximum print volume is 225mm × 225mm × 265mm. Parts larger than this need to be split and joined, or redesigned.
RV 3D prints in engineering-grade PETG — a material chosen specifically for Australian RV conditions. PETG is UV resistant, heat stable to approximately 80°C under load, chemically inert, and absorbs vibration rather than cracking under cyclic stress.
This matters in Australia because standard OEM caravan plastics — typically ABS or polypropylene — are tested to global specifications that don't account for corrugated outback roads, the UV index, or summer cabin temperatures that regularly exceed 70°C in a closed vehicle.
RV 3D also uses Solid-Core manufacturing: high infill density and multiple perimeter walls that distribute stress across the entire part rather than concentrating it at thin points. The result is a part that is often significantly stronger than the original factory component it replaces.
Describe what you need. Use the order form at rv3d.com.au — include your RV make and model, the part you need, approximate dimensions, and attach reference photos if you have them.
Get a confirmation and quote. RV 3D will confirm the part can be made, advise on print time and postage, and provide a final price before any payment is taken.
Pay and receive your part. Payment is via PayID or bank transfer. Most orders are printed and dispatched within 3–5 business days, with Australia Post delivery typically adding 3–7 days.
Standard colours include black, white, beige, grey, blue, green, red, orange, yellow, gold, and silver. Custom colour matches can sometimes be accommodated — send a photo of the area you're matching and RV 3D will advise on the closest available option.
If you have a broken component that can no longer be sourced — a clip, bracket, latch, or trim piece that the manufacturer no longer stocks — mail it to the Adelaide lab. RV 3D can work from multiple fragments to recover the original geometry. The part is then reinforced at known failure points and printed in PETG.
This service is particularly useful for older caravans where model-specific parts have been discontinued, or for budget and mid-range brands that don't maintain long parts inventories.
